Congratulations Zach!

Zach had his interview this morning with the FAA and has been accepted!

He has an 8 week waiting period before he receives his security clearance and then off to Oklahoma City for the FAA Academy Training (6 weeks).  After that, he will begin working at the El Monte Airport.

This has been a three year process - beginning with his friend Dann Shubin coming to us and asking us if Zach would consider a career in ATC.  He suggested it as a good choice because he knew that many of the controllers that Regan put in during the 80s would be up for retirement soon and there would be a great need for new recruits.

Zach loved the idea, went to work researching, found a school (Mt. Sac) with a program for ATC and earned his degree in Aviation Science.  After graduation last June, he needed to wait until he was called up for an interview and a job offer. And that was today!

Congratulations, Zach. We are so proud of you! You did it! All your planning, hard work, perseverance, and dedication paid off. After three years of working for this goal, the next 8 weeks are going to fly by and you'll be in El Monte before you know it.
