Spent the afternoon washing, peeling, cutting, chopping, dicing, shredding all kinds of vegetables: potatoes, sweet potatoes, parsnips, beets, carrots, onions, celery, swiss chard, kale, cabbage, lettuce - and rinsing, boiling and draining pearl barley and black beans.

How cool! We, too, have a local market that only sells produce from surrounding farms! Every Friday, "Fresh Friday" I purchase our fruits & veggies. It feels so good making all those yummy dishes for our families! We have a student living with us from China and she has requested more cabbages and Bok Choy...I could eat it every night!
