Cambria

Spent a few sun soaked days on the central coast in Cambria. Ron and I took a couple days off to get out of the city and away from it all to catch our breath and recharge.

We found this beautiful spot along the ocean with a mile long board walk for strolling along the breathtaking scenery - and breathing in all God's glory and creativity! What a wonderful way to soothe the soul and quiet your heart!

We had a great time doing nothing but stroll, shop, talk, read, watch the sun turn the ocean into miles of dazzling sparkles, listen to the pounding of the surf, walk along the water's edge and marvel at the elephant seals near San Simeon.

Discovered this sweet little place- The Burton Inn nestled at the end of a quiet avenue on the East Village side of Cambria - next to some of our favorite hand craft shoppes that sell art, furniture, yarns and jewelry.

Next door to our inn was a yarn shop called Ball & Skein - super friendly owners and cool yarns. Hard not to buy everything you see!

We loved a little store across the street called: The Shop Next Door and bought this Wendell August handcrafted tray. Good to be away - to breathe deep and be silent - getting ready for all this new year will bring us.
