Courtney's Adventure

We bring Courtney to the airport tonight! She's embarking on her 3 month study abroad program in England at Oxford.

Although we will miss her like crazy, we are so excited for her to have this experience! She has wanted to do this for years and has waited for just the right time to do it. For about a year and a half now, she's been working hard, living at home to save money, living frugally, putting tons of money aside to pay for the trip - all with the goal of getting to this point - going to England to study.

Her boss is very supportive of foreign, educational travel and has agreed to let her go to part time while she's away and do her work from England. So on the weekends when she's not out at a museum or touring a castle, Courtney will be sitting in a London Cafe telecommuting!

She'll be living with a host family about 3 miles from Oxford and will probably just take a bus to school. She's found a church close by that she's planning on attending while there. We have three Sovereign Grace churches she's hoping to visit during her trip - taking the train on the weekends:
During her spring break, she's traveling to Ireland to stay with some new friends of ours, Ray and Rebecca Clancy who have a church in Galway. They are a lovely family - and we know it will be a home away from home and that they'll take good care of her for us.

So grateful for the internet, emailing and video chatting - all good things to help keep in touch while she's so far away.
