What an amazing week! After spending 4 days in Gilbert, visiting Zach, Adrea and baby Jack in the hospital, I joined Ron in Scottsdale at this resort: Scottsdale Villa Mirage. We got an awesome deal on Groupon and spent the next six days reading and lounging by the pool. Ron took the first three days for a study break (so we didnt see him during the day) and then the girls joined us for the last three days. It was so blazing hot, we spent most of our days in the water and then drove into Gilbert almost every day to see the baby. On Saturday, Zach and Andrea and Jordan and Paige joined us around the pool and then out for dinner.
On Sunday, their church had a baby dedication that we were privileged to attend.
What a milestone week! God in his goodness, allowed me to be at Jack's birth, to spend time with him during his first week of life, to hold him and kiss him and smell his "brand newness" and to be present at his baby dedication and Zach's first Father's Day. My first born's first born. My first grandchild.
This week was filled to overflowing with God's kindness and gifts of grace! I am blessed! and so grateful to have lived to see this day. I soaked up every sweet moment, storing it up to treasure in the days ahead.

Hoi Tami: (that's dutch).
I just emailed a long dutch email to my cousin.
I was thrilled with your blog. The other news, not so. But yes, indeed we never know what is going to happen to us. I realize that especially now that we're aging.
Happy for you, enjoy life. Love you, Ann
