We are planning a trip to Michigan in August. Today, Ron and I were working out the details of flying our whole family across the country. For future posterity, we decided that it would be a better idea to fly separately, dividing the family into two groups. (We recently heard of an entire family dying in a plane crash coming home from a vacation.) Ron and I will each take our favorite kids... (just kidding!) Zach and Ron will also fly separately. Sounds morbid, I know. But I think it's a prudent thing to do.
We had a fun time trying to get two planes that left LA and arrived in GR at similar times - on the same day! Perseverance paid off and we finally found two flights coming in at the same time.
We are looking forward to our time away this summer. With our kids getting older, the ability to take vacations together is getting harder. This is the perfect week because it is between the summer and fall sessions of school.
