We returned home Monday night from our week-long beach camping trip with our church. We had a wonderful time camping right next to the ocean - we had a beautiful view from our trailer and fell asleep each night to the sound of crashing waves. Highlights from the week:
Sitting everyday in our beach chairs soaking up the sun and watching the ocean - and the occasional dolphin or seal swim by.
Kayaking with Paige and getting really close to a huge seal swimming next to us!
Sitting around a campfire at night and singing songs.
Having a California style church service with 200 people in the campground and then walking a few yards to the ocean for a baptism. I've never been to a baptism where the pastor wears a wet-suit! (it wasn't Ron!)
And Off Again...
We took Tuesday to rest and do a million loads of laundry. And today I spent most of the day working at the office to get files and information ready for a planning retreat I'm taking tomorrow. I'll be staying at the Queen Mary Hotel in Long Beach.
Then on Friday and Saturday I'll be working at a Home School Convention (CHEA) representing Tapestry of Grace curriculum.
When I get home next week, I'll post some pictures and write more about our time away.
