Thanksgiving Hike and Dinner

We were glad to have Zach and Andrea join us for our Thanksgiving this year. We also had Tim and Becca Owens and Jon and Nicole Baird as well.

We had to find a new hiking trail this year, as our traditional Millard's Canyon was burned out in the Station Fires. We went to Monrovia Canyon Park and hiked to the waterfall.





















































Zach & Andrea, Tim and Paige all climbed the rocks above the waterfall.
Paige bravely faced her fear of heights and conquered the wall. We all watched and tried not to be anxious about someone falling and having to airlift them to the nearest hospital. :)






































After a great morning hike, we went back to the house for a light lunch of a big green salad and pumpkin muffins.

Spent the afternoon cooking the turkey, zucchini rice casserole, fresh homemade dinner rolls, sausage stuffing with nuts and fruits, mashed potatoes, gravy and teriyaki sauteed green beans.




























We finished the evening with two of Paige's special homemade pies: apple and chocolate.
