Got a call from my doctor this morning asking me to meet him at 11:00 (2 hrs. before my regular dialysis appointment). So Ron picked me up and we headed over to see him. I guess he wanted to deliver the good news in person: my kidney function is up to 12% - over the needed 10% to stop dialysis!
I will see my Rheumatologist tomorrow for a follow up and she will refer me to to the Kaiser nephrologist who will set up an appointment with the surgeon to remove my catheter - hopefully in a week or so.
While I am so grateful to have had this life saving procedure, I am so glad that I am done! I am fully aware of the miracle that i've received... not many patients who've had kidney failure ever recover and they need to be on dialysis the rest of their lives or get a kidney transplant.
We are overwhelmed at God's goodness and kindness!

Dear Tami what terrific news. You truly experienced a miracle.
We hope you're comfortable in your remodeled home. Take some pictures when you get around to it.
We will continue to pray for you, your family and the church.
Love you, Ann
