In Celebration of Nature

Today we spent the afternoon at Eaton Canyon Nature Center taking a nature walk. We had a great time. The kids were so attentive as our docent (one of the kid's grandma) took us on a hike and talked about the various plants, insects and animals we'd find along the way. We had beautiful weather (in the 80's) - spending time outdoors was a great way to get out of the house and celebrate the end of the sick season we've just come through!

It was so good to see the big kids interact with the little ones as we hiked together. I saw many junior high teens holding the hands of kindergardeners, talking with them or tending to them, helping them along the trail or over rocks as they traversed the river.
