Mother's Day

Original by Ann Voskamp.

Below is a tweaked version.

1. Today, I will make our home a house of prayer.

2. Today, I will endeavor to see beauty in all things.

3. Today, I will slow down to see God's hand in all things.

4. Today, I will fight stress with gratitude and giving thanks at all times.

5. Today, I will speak only grace-filled words - words that build and encourage.

6. Today, I will strive for consistency: building family rhythms and daily ceremonies that celebrate the gift of Now.

7. Today, the moment when I am most repelled by a child's behavior, I need to remember that is my sign to draw closest to that child.

8. Today, I will look for opportunities to show affection.

9. Today, my priorities will be all Things Unseen. (The important over the urgent).

10. Today, I will smile and embrace joy - and create a culture of joy in our home.
