Happy New Year

I love new beginnings. I love September - because it's a brand new school year. I love Spring because it's a season marked with new life and freshness. I love January because it symbolizes a clean slate. We have a whole new year - 12 calendar months that are blank- all just waiting for us to fill them in - with our priorities, our choices and our activities.

January is named after a Roman mythological god named Janus and he's depicted as a god with two faces: one looking at the past and one looking to the future. He was a gate keeper - guarding gates and doors, beginnings and endings. So, January is the gatekeeper of our years- standing between the one just ending and the one just beginning.

As we begin this new year, we like to take some time to evaluate the last year. Looking at the past and toward the future: taking a look at what we've done, how we've grown or changed, and what we'd like to do differently -or better in this next year...

Here are some questions that are good to consider as we enter this new season.
