Fires

Wild fires broke out in the mountains behind us in the neighboring town - La Canada-Flintridge. Woke up to heavy smoke smell and ashes in the air.

The photo above is the view from our front lawn looking toward the mountains which are behind our house.

Here's a view from our dining room window.

Click here to see a map where the fires are burning in the mountains behind us.

We're watching the news, and keeping an eye on the fire line - it's above us and all in the forest area and hasn't come near our neighborhood.

We may leave this afternoon just because of the poor air quality and difficulty in breathing - not to mention the stifling heat.

Hope you guys are okay. That air is awful, especially being that close to the house.

Oh and take Tilney with you! Keep an eye on the puppy! The heat and air quality is dangerous for them too!

keep us posted.

We did decide to stay home. There really wasn't anywhere we could go and take our pets with us. Didn't want to leave them at the house in the heat. They couldn't go to the beach or shopping. :) It turned out that just staying indoors with the air-conditioner on was fine.

You should post a video of Tilney soon. We MISS him terribly! (Well... I do. Noel might not agree. lol!)
