Taking time to walk in the mornings to get fresh air and fresh perspective - and much needed alone time.Re-reading Tozer's The Pursuit of God and finding it motivating and refreshing.
- Slowing down to notice and enjoy all the beauty around me - gifts of God's daily grace.
- Finishing a quilt top as I recover from a running injury. (I sound so athletic, don't I?)
- Trying to adjust to the reality that I'm middle-aged.
- Planning for a new school year.
- Writing lesson plans for 6th, 8th, 10th grades.
- Researching and ordering books for school.
- Planning out our family/church/home/school/ calendar for the next 12 months.
- Deciding which co-op classes the girls will take this year. (Botany, Physical Science, Latin and Science History/Philosophy.)
- Putting together a book group / discussion class syllabus tackling the topic of evolution vs. intelligent design. (I am so way in over my head!!)
- Trying to find a way to enjoy cooking. :)
- Looking at new recipes.
- Enjoying planning the rehearsal dinner for Zach and Andrea's Wedding. This way, I get to plan and organize but NOT cook!!
- Preparing the family for the wedding - lots of shopping and fun stuff with the girls before the wedding... manicures and pedicures, eyebrow threading, buying dresses, shoes and jewelry.
- Anticipating a wonderful time in three weeks as we gather with friends and family to celebrate a very special day!
