After severely burning my arm on the oven this week, I'm a huge fan of aloe vera. I've decided it's time to purchase an Aloe Vera plant and have it handy at all times. Why haven't I done this sooner?(Note to self: when taking a heavy roast out of the oven, completely open the oven door and use both hands.)
When I announced to the family tonight that I would be getting a plant their comments were: "It's about time." "I don't know anyone who hurts, cuts, burns themselves as much as you do." "We think you are accident prone." "You know, don't you, that every time you enter the kitchen or use a curling iron, you either cut or burn yourself..."
Wow. When the kids would tell me to "back away from the oven" as I was preparing dinner, I always thought they didn't like my cooking. Turns out they were just concerned for my safety.

Oh oh oh! can I add that while growing up, you always burned your self on the curling iron back then too! Oh and broke a finger...I'll stop.
lol! If it's any consulation I always trip and fall, sprain an ankle or break a toe.
Aloe is the BEST thing ever for burnsand rashes and if your dog gets any hot spots on his skin, you can use aloe on him as well. It's a miracle cure!!!
It must run in the family! And I always thought John was accident prone.
