We're teaching a 4 week singles class at church this month. The 4th week, we're going to break up into men and women; Ron will take the guys and I'll take the girls to talk about relating to the opposite sex, dating, preparing for marriage, etc. At the end of last week's class, a guy joked about having me talk to the guys to give them some tips. Hmmm. I could have fun with this! On the ride home, it sparked a very funny and lively conversation with all my girls.
We think every guy needs to watch Jane Austen to get a good view into a girl's world. We're having a great, on-going discussion in our house this week using characters from British Literature / Films: Jane Austen, Charles Dickens, Charlotte Bronte, George Elliot... to illustrate relationship tips - what to do, what not to do, good proposals, bad proposals, positive and negative character qualities in men/women...etc.
